What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a synthetically produced peptide of 15 amino acids. Its sequence is derived from a protein described in human gastric juice – hence the name Body Protection Compound. The peptide is highly water-soluble and considered relatively stable in acidic environments, which makes it interesting for laboratory investigations.
BPC-157 Effects: Current State of Research
In scientific literature, BPC-157 is predominantly studied in connection with tissue regeneration, gastrointestinal models, and processes of neovascularization. Among other things, its involvement in signaling pathways related to cell migration is discussed.
To clarify: The vast majority of published data comes from cell culture and animal models. Controlled human studies are very limited. BPC-157 is not approved as a medicine in any country; accordingly, there is no officially reviewed application and no reviewed dosage.
